Bommanahalli Metro Station — Yellow Line, Namma Metro

Bommanahalli Metro Station is an elevated station on the Yellow Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, located at Bommanahalli. The Yellow Line runs 19.15 km from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road to Bommasandra, largely along Hosur Road, across 16 fully elevated stations. It was inaugurated on 10 August 2025 and opened to passengers the following day, built at a cost of about Rs 7,610 crore.

Also known as Roopena Agrahara, the station serves Bommanahalli along Hosur Road, a dense mix of residential layouts and small commercial units. Local road journeys to the city centre that once took over an hour now take roughly 30 to 40 minutes by metro.

The station has 2 platforms. Platform 1 serves trains towards Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road; Platform 2 serves trains towards Delta Electronics Bommasandra. RV Road is the only working interchange on the line, where you can change to the Green Line for Jayanagar, Majestic and Silk Institute, and at Majestic onward to the Purple Line for MG Road and Whitefield. Two further interchanges are planned: the Pink Line at Jayadeva Hospital and the Blue Line at Central Silk Board.

Central Silk Board Metro Station is an elevated interchange station on Namma Metro in Bengaluru, serving the Yellow Line, with the Blue Line planned. It opened on 2025-08-11.

The station stands above the Central Silk Board junction, for years the most notorious traffic bottleneck in Bengaluru, where Hosur Road meets the Outer Ring Road.

Central Silk Board has four platforms. Two serve the Yellow Line today. The other two are built for the Blue Line and are not in service — that corridor will run along the Outer Ring Road towards Kempegowda International Airport and has not opened. Until it does, only the Yellow Line platforms are used.

BTM Layout Metro Station is an elevated station on the Yellow Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, located at BTM Layout 1st Stage. The station serves BTM Layout 1st Stage and Aicobo Nagar, among the densest rental and student neighbourhoods in south Bengaluru. Before the Yellow Line opened, this area depended entirely on Hosur Road and Outer Ring Road traffic to reach Electronic City.

Jayadeva Hospital Metro Station is an elevated interchange station on Namma Metro in Bengaluru, serving the Yellow Line, with the Pink Line planned. It opened on 2025-08-11.

Built above the Jayadeva flyover, this is the tallest and largest station on the Namma Metro network, rising across five levels of road and rail, and it is described as the tallest metro station in South India. It sits beside the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, one of India’s busiest cardiac hospitals.

Jayadeva Hospital serves the Yellow Line today. It is also built as the interchange with the Pink Line, which will run above the Yellow Line platforms. The Pink Line has not yet opened — its elevated Phase 1 section from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere passes through this station and was targeted for 15 August 2026, but the CMRS inspection on 14 August concluded without clearance pending a signalling safety certificate. BMRCL now expects it to open in late August or early September 2026. Until then, no line change is possible here.

Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road Metro Station is an elevated interchange station on Namma Metro in Bengaluru, serving the Green Line and the Yellow Line. It opened on 2017-06-18.

RV Road has been operational on the Green Line since June 2017. It became an interchange on 11 August 2025 when the Yellow Line opened, connecting Electronic City, Bommasandra and the Hosur Road corridor to the rest of the network for the first time.

RV Road is the northern terminus of the Yellow Line and an intermediate station on the Green Line.
