The Namma Metro Green Line is a major north-south corridor in Bengaluru, connecting Nagasandra in the north to Silk Institute in the south.

Spanning approximately 30.5 km, the line serves both residential neighborhoods and industrial hubs, making it a critical part of the city’s transit system.

Madavara Metro Station

Madavara Metro Station — Green Line, Namma Metro

Madavara Metro Station is an elevated station on the Green Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, at Madavara. The Green Line runs north to south from Madavara to Silk Institute across 32 stations, linking Tumkur Road, Malleshwaram, the old city markets and Kanakapura Road. It opened on 2024-11-07.

Madavara is the northern terminus of the Green Line, serving the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre on Tumkur Road. It replaced Nagasandra as the terminus in November 2024.

The station has two platforms. Platform 1 serves trains towards Madavara; Platform 2 serves trains towards Silk Institute. The Green Line interchanges with the Purple Line at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda (Majestic) and with the Yellow Line at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road for Electronic City.

Madavara Metro Station Timings

Green Line services run from about 5:00 am on weekdays and Saturdays and 7:00 am on Sundays, with the last train at about 11:00 pm. Trains run every 4 to 4.5 minutes at peak and every 7 to 8 minutes off peak. BMRCL notes that additional trains may be run from selected intermediate stations when travel demand rises, and that train times can change for planned works.
